Karen Dee: Chief Executive Officer

I arrived in Perth from the UK in 1976 and came to Darwin in 1981 for a week, and am here still. I now have two teenagers, a mortgage, and many friends and would find it very hard to say goodbye now, so I expect to be here a couple of more years yet. My daughter is 16 and in year 11 at Darwin High School, and my son is 18 and working in IT.

I have had quite a diverse range of employment, from banks to the Army to running a golf course, and most recently have been running a roadhouse just south of Darwin. 

Although I have only just commenced my involvement with Variety NT, I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge. I am looking forward to being a Virgin Basher this year (especially as it’s National Bash time) and to meeting more of the Variety family.
